Solution: Autel IM608 Read BMW 2004 EWS3 Response Timeout
Solved Autel MaxiIM IM608 + XP400 Pro read BMW "Response timeout" error.
Problem: I was using Autel MaxiIM IM608 + XP400 Pro Programmer to read BMW 2004 model EWS3, but it keeps giving an error "Response timeout". What's the problem? Please help.
Solution
Please do below action:
- Enter the BMW EWS3 path of the programmer to try to read and write;
- Check whether the adapter board pins correspond to the EWS3 slots accurately;
- Operation in strict accordance with the operating instructions.
- Connection:
Step2. Connect the board & XP400 Pro.
Step3. USB connect XP400 Pro & tablet.
Step4. Connect 12V power supply to XP400 Pro; Note that the power of IM608 must be more than 30%.
Step5. Open the menu & execute the read function.
Step6. If the 12V is not connected, and the function is executed directly, the USB port will hang up & cannot be used. In this case, please restart IM608 tablet, the USB port is enabled, and communication can be performed normally.
