I have a 2013 RAM 1500 here with aftermarket wheels on it. 3 of 4 sensors are showing to be reading on the truck if we plug out OBDII scanner in. However, if we use our Autel TS508 TPMS tool, it shows none of them.
How can I check the monitors on this truck? Is the metal on the rims too thick? Is there another scan tool out there for aftermarket rims of a certain kind?
Autelshop.de Engineer Replies Autel MaxiTPMS TS508 supported: 2013/10-2017/12 US Dodge RAM Series 433MHz TPMS sensors; 2010/01-2014/12 US Dodge RAM Series SCH New 433MHz D2 TPMS sensors.
We believe that it's fine. Customer needs to triggered the sensor on rubber part of tire, because sometimes metal rim will effect the frequency of sensor and which may cause failure or trouble.
