Autel MK808 Reset Ford Check Engine/Airbag Warning Light
Introduce how to reset check engine light & airbag warning light for Ford
Today I'm working on a 2017 Ford Focus, there are check engine light & airbag SRS warning lights on this car. So I'm going to use the Autel MaxiCOM MK808 Diagnostic Scanner to reset them.Reset Check Engine Light
Connect Autel MK808,
Diagnostics >> Ford >> Automatic selection >> Read >> OK >> Yes >> Control unit >> PCM >> Read codes >> Retrieve CMDTCs(Continuous Memory Diagnostic Trouble Codes)
Set the ignition switch to ON.
MK808 gives 2 fault codes:
P0353: 00-AE, CMDTCs, ignition coil C primary control circuit / open
P0353: ignition coil C primary control circuit/ open
Go to erase codes.
Ignition on and engine off? Yes
DTCs and freeze data will be deleted. Press "Yes" to continue.
Codes have been successfully erased.
As we can see, the check engine light has gone.
SRS Reset
It's going to be same for the airbag reset.
Go back to system menu,
RCM >> Read codes
B0028: 13-AE, CMDTCs, right side airbag deployment control.
Go back to erase codes.
Ignition on and engine off? Yes
DTCs and freeze data will be deleted. Press "Yes" to continue.
Codes has been successfully erased.
Keep an eye on the airbag light, it has gone.
Autel MK808 does lots of service functions as well which are really useful. Such as oil reset, EPB, TPMS, BMS, brake bleed, immo keys, injector, etc.
